  • Name: George

    Role: Team Leader

    Experience: 8 Years as a Team Leader at 99 Bikes, 10+ years with 99 Bikes in Retail and customer service and never looked back! Racing: NZ National Downhill series, Local Enduro series.

    Expertise: Downhill and Enduro bikes. Suspension Tuning/Set up. Dual Suspension servicing.

    What do you love about bikes: I love getting out on the trails and learning new skills with my friends and customers. There are so many awesome trails with amazing scenery open to the public in our area. The feelings of freedom and flow when you're coming down your favourite trail is really hard to beat! Of course no traffic on the way to work is always a bonus.

    Current bikes: Transition Spire, Ironhorse 90’s steel frame, Commencal Clash, Norco Range C2, Lapierre Spicy 527, SE Big Ripper, Lapierre Spicy 3.0, Ironhorse Sunday, Kona Cowan.

    Expertise: I’ve worked in customer service for over 10 years. I started riding bikes during lockdown and haven’t looked back since. These days, I spend many hours trying to hold the wheel and push the watts. I’m passionate about road bikes and gravel riding.

    What do you love about bikes: I love the freedom they offer aswell as being able to jump on my bike and go anywhere. Great for exercise.

    Experience: 5+ Years working on and riding BMX bikes,  3 Years Customer Service Experience.

    Expertise:  BMX Bikes, helping new riders find the perfect bike for them, as well as upgrades and custom builds.

    What do you love about bikes: I love the freedom of riding a bike as well as the physical and mental wellbeing benefits biking has to offer. I also love meeting new people while out riding bikes and helping improve each others riding and knowledge of bikes.

    What do you love about bikes: I love the connection and the focus it inspires. Getting outdoors and getting fit.
