Ride Merida – Engineered to Outperform Its Price Tag
German engineering meets Taiwanese craftsmanship to deliver bikes that offer incredible performance without the premium price tag. Designed with precision, built with durability, and tuned for real rides, Merida bikes punch above their paperweight.
The Merida Story
Merida Industry was founded in 1972 in Taiwan by engineer Ike Tseng, who was determined to change perceptions about Taiwanese bicycle quality. In 2001, Merida established a research and development centre in Germany, bringing together cutting-edge design and world-class testing with manufacturing excellence back in Taiwan. Since then, every bike carries design DNA from Germany and build quality handmade in Taiwan.
That dual heritage translates to bikes that ride confidently and last longer. From frame strength to build quality, Merida’s history delivers real benefits for you every time you get on the saddle.

Why Ride Merida?
- Designed in Germany, built in Taiwan combines advanced engineering, ride-focused frame design and reliable manufacturing to offer quality you can trust without paying for branding alone.
- Testing beyond the standards means every frame and component goes through internal and external tests that exceed regular safety norms, so your ride is safer and your gear lasts longer.
- Trickle-down materials and technology like carbon fork blades, hydraulic disc brakes and modern tyre clearance include things from higher-end models to make even entry-level bikes feel premium.
- Comfort without compromise in ergonomics, geometry and component spec lets you ride longer with less fatigue, even on rough roads or trails.
