Rooted in the free-wheeling hills of Marin County, California, Marin builds bikes for pure good-times on any terrain. Their Mountain Bikes, gravel-crushing machines and laid-back commuters are designed so every ride feels like a trail-side adventure.
Fun is front-row in every frame, with rugged durability, daring geometry and mountain-bike soul baked into every Marin product.
The Marin Story
Marin Bikes began in 1986 amidst the birthplace of mountain biking. Born in Marin County, California, the brand was founded by Bob Buckley who built bicycles named after local landmarks and shaped by the adventurous spirit of the hills and trails around Mount Tamalpais. From early titanium and full-suspension innovations to pioneering gravel and hybrid categories, Marin has kept innovation alive while staying true to roots in mountain riding.
That history matters today because every Marin you ride carries lessons from rugged trails past. The geometry, the suspension designs, material choices all come from decades of trial, error and refinement so you get reliability, comfort and serious fun right out of the box.

Why Ride Marin?
- Made for fun every ride. Marin’s philosophy is built on bringing enjoyment on all kinds of terrain not chasing specs—so even affordable models share the same core fun-centric design.
- Proven suspension heritage. Marin was early to full-suspension, developed quad-link and MultiTrac technologies that deliver reliable trail-smoothing performance even on mid-tier bikes.
- Durable aluminium frames and thoughtful component specs. Series-rated alloy, disc brakes, and widely available drivetrains mean easier maintenance and parts replacement.
- Geometry inspired by real riding. Long reach, slack head tube angles, adaptable wheel sizes—all based on decades of trail feedback so bikes feel stable off-roading and playful where it counts.

Marin Bolinas Ridge
The Marin Bolinas Ridge line is perfect for riders getting into mountain biking or those wanting a light-hearted trail ride without wild tech. Wheel size flex with frame size makes sure it fits bodies and terrain.
Marin Rift Zone
The Marin Rift Zone lineup offers off-road dual suspension trail bikes built for more aggressive terrain. With Marin’s MultiTrac suspension system, robust aluminium and carbon frames in higher models, long travel forks and modern slack geometry, the Rift Zone is ready for steep climbs and rowdy descents.
