The 2023 Pine Mountain 2 is Marin’s high-end, high-performance steel bikepacking rig. The Geometry is a mix between agility for trail riding, and all day comfort for bikepacking. The Series 3 CrMo version of the frame upgrades to higher-grade CrMo for a lively, zippier ride and has a bolt-through rear axle for a little added stiffness where it matters. It’s built up with a RockShox FS 35 120mm fork, Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain, tubeless ready Vee Tire Flow Snap 2.6” tires, powerful Shimano hydraulic brakes and an internally routed dropper post for added comfort and speed. Last but not least, the Pine Mountain features brazed-in cargo attachment points throughout the front triangle for carrying all of the water and gear one needs. The exclusive Marin-designed Bedroll Bar features a 50mm rise and a long, straight top bar for cleanly mounting handlebar packs away from cables and controls, and also mounting, lights, phones, cycle computers, or whatever else catches your fancy.
