Step 2: Adjust your inseam

  • Based on your height, we’ve calculated a starting point.
  • You can measure your inseam by tucking a book between your legs so there is pressure but it isn’t uncomfortable.

Shop BMC

BMC is built on elite Swiss engineering, every bike born of exacting precision, aerodynamics and raw speed on the road. The pursuit of drag-defying shapes and race-proven materials means you get uncompromising performance on every ride. BMC designs like those in the Roadmachine and Teammachine offer you aesthetic, technical excellence without the elitist price tag.

The BMC Story

BMC began in 1986 in Grenchen, Switzerland, originally assembling Raleigh bikes under licence. Over time it embraced full-on engineering-driven research, creating its own carbon production facility and founding the Impec Advanced Research and Development Lab. Its founder Andy Rihs pushed for nothing less than building “Porsches of race bikes.”

That heritage still defines BMC today. Race wins, Tour de France stages, pro riders and relentless testing all feed into what reaches your bike shop. All of that translates into real wins for riders of all levels—better stiffness, refined aerodynamics, and bikes ready to perform whether you’re racing, riding hard or just chasing speed on everyday roads.

Why Ride BMC?

  • Swiss precision and materials engineering. Frames are designed with full carbon lay-ups and moulding techniques tested in Grenchen using advanced labs and wind-tunnel-inspired design. This delivers superior stiffness-to-weight ratios, more efficient pedalling and aerodynamic advantage.
  • Race-borne developments for wider benefit. Technology de-signed for Grand Tour pros—like refined tube profiles, hidden cable routing, integrated cockpits and tyre clearance—trickles down so all riders get better comfort, control and speed.
  • Purpose-driven aerodynamics. Every curve, fork, seat post and dropout is shaped to reduce drag, improve airflow and minimise resistance so you go faster with less effort.
  • Endurance comfort without compromise. Even high-performance models include compliance features—shaped seatstays, D-shape seatposts, generous tyre clearance—to smooth rough roads without adding unnecessary weight.

Popular BMC Ranges Explained

BMC Teammachine

The Teammachine is BMC’s race-bred road bike line, engineered for explosive acceleration and sharp climbing. The latest SLR 01 frameset is lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic than ever with around 700 gram frame weights and builds starting near 6.6 kilograms. You get razor-sharp handling and pro-level performance even at lower spec levels.

BMC Roadmachine

Roadmachine blends speed with long-ride comfort. Wider tyre clearance—up to 40 millimetres on some models—integrated downtube storage, and hidden lights make it ready for diverse roads. You get endurance geometry without sacrificing race-level responsiveness.
