Every 99 Bikes store in Auckland and Christchurch has a complete bike mechanics workshop. Our qualified bike mechanics offer repairs and servicing on all bicycle brands and models*. Many of our stores open at 8am weekdays for early bike drop-offs, but please call your preferred store first to confirm.

*Our mechanics have the right to refuse work on any bikes if they are deemed unsafe, this includes modified ebikes or bikes which have been converted into ebikes.

At 99 Bikes we are the experts in electric bikes and e-bike servicing. We have all the tools and technology to service your Electric bike to the manufacturer’s standards.99 Bikes is leading the way when it comes to electric bike servicing. We have ebike expert stores, meaning our mechanics not only have the understanding and experience to work on electric bikes but ride them regularly. All of our e-bikes experts log monthly kilometers on electric bikes to expand their knowledge and retain monthly their status.

At 99 Bikes we want to share our knowledge with you so you can easily repair and maintain your bike at home or out on the trails. To do this, we hold regular free Maintenance classes for club 99 members that are hosted by some of the most knowledgeable bike mechanics in New Zealand. These classes cover all the basics of keeping your bike running smoothly and are a great hands-on experience. We also offer a range of bike fitting services to make sure you have the optimal bike fit and avoid potential injuries while riding. This is great for people who spend a lot of time in the saddle or can’t seem to get comfortable on their bikes.

If you purchase a bike online the team at 99 Bikes can build it up for you. This includes assembly of the bike along with tuning of the gears and a complete safety check, when you pick the bike up it will be safe and ready to ride! We can also fit additional parts and accessories as a part of the bike build or as a separate service.

All new Bikes need tune-ups early on to ensure everything is still running correctly and safely. When cables are new, they are likely to stretch after a little use and often need to be readjusted. Not just that, our team will make sure all the bolts are still tight, your bike is shifting well, stopping when you need it and the wheels are true. A tune-up early on can save money in the long run as it allows our mechanics to catch small problems before they turn into major issues.
