Wheelsmith brings serious spoke craftmanship from Wisconsin and wheel builds from Melbourne into your ride. High tensile steel, precision forged nipples and hand-built wheel integrity mean every bike gets the quality it deserves. For riders who value reliability, Wheelsmith delivers parts you can count on every kilometre.

The Wheelsmith Story

Wheelsmith Fabrication is a United States-based company making high grade bicycle spokes. They produce their spoke wire, form, bend and heat treat everything under strict quality control in their Wisconsin headquarters. They became part of the Hayes Bicycle Group, a global components organisation in the bike industry. The group owns other known names such as Sun Ringlé rims and Manitou suspension, meaning Wheelsmith shares in sophisticated engineering and material science practices.

Those decades of material testing, fatigue lab work and precision forging directly benefit you. When installing Wheelsmith derailleurs parts like jockey wheels and hangers, you get consistent fit and alignment, quieter shifting and longer life. That means less time in the workshop, more time riding.

Why Ride Wheelsmith?

  • Precision formed steel spokes for strength that resist fatigue because each wire is cold drawn, bent over a radiussed mandrel, and stress tested.
  • High quality nipples forged from solid brass or aircraft-grade aluminium to ensure reliable strength and corrosion resistance at every spoke joint.
  • Hand-inspected manufacturing from wire batch to final wheel build ensures components are true, properly tensioned and built to last.
  • Part of a larger components group so innovation in tyres, wheels, suspension and braking flows into spokes, derailleurs and support parts for better integration.
