Find Your Size

Step 1: Measure your height

  • Take off your shoes
  • Stand with your back straight against a wall
  • Balance a book on your head to mark your height on the wall
  • Measure your height by the distance from the floor to the mark

TRP brakes bring race-level reliability into every ride. Bold engineering meets everyday braking power so your confidence on the road, trail or gravel starts strong.

Our range delivers clear bite, precise control and longer lasting pads so that your stopping power never holds you back.

The TRP Story

TRP began in 2006 as the racing-division of family-run TEKTRO, a Taiwan-based maker of bicycle brakes full of engineering passion and hands-on craftsmanship. The founder company started in 1986 and by 1999 launched its first hydraulic disc brake, laying down roots in both innovation and serious stopping power.

Today the learning from race wins, downhill battles and cross-country testing shows up in every brake you ride: sharper brake levers, more control, heat resistance and pad wear that behaves. That history works for you every time you pull on the lever.

Why Ride TRP?

  • Race-Born Engineering Marcos from World Cup downhill, cyclocross and endurance racing have driven updates in lever design, caliper cooling and pad compounds so you get proven performance even at entry or mid-price.
  • Hybrid and Full Hydraulic Options Cable-actuated mechanical models like Spyre-C give easy setup and compatibility with many levers, while hydraulic lines deliver stronger modulation and less lever pull for big descents.
  • Tool-Free Adjustments and Durable Components You’ll find reach adjusters, top-loading pads and tough forged or CNC-machined calipers that make maintenance easier and durability better for regular riding.
  • Pad and Rotor Synergy TRP offer resin, semi-metallic and occasionally metallic pad compounds, matched with rotors of different thickness, so you can pick the combo that suits your climate, trail type or road conditions.

Popular TRP Ranges Explained

HY/RD

The HY/RD model brings hydraulic braking performance to road, gravel and cyclocross bikes while keeping your existing cable levers. Featuring an open hydraulic system and automatic pad wear adjustment so you don’t need to bleed fluid for small wear. Comes with semi-metallic pads and compatible with Shimano and SRAM 11-speed road shift levers.

Spyre-C

The Spyre-C is a dual-actuated mechanical disc brake caliper made for riders wanting simple setup, even pad wear and reliable performance. Both pads move toward the rotor, keeping rotor wear even, and it works with any cable-actuated drop bar lever. Light weight makes it good for commuters and adventure bikes.

Slate T4 / Slate EVO

The Slate family, including Slate T4 and Slate EVO, steps you up to four-piston hydraulic braking with high volume hose, strong lever feel, ergonomic design and precise modulation. They’re suited to trail, aggressive cross-country and electric mountain bike riding. Use resin or TRP’s heat-stable pad compounds and matched rotors to keep performance steady down long descents.
