Shop Sunrace

Sunrace makes drivetrain parts with value, durability and performance in every cog, pulley and derailleur. Rugged enough for rocky bush trails, precise enough for road climbs, and priced so your riding wins, not your wallet. Let’s get your drivetrain dialled.

The Sunrace Story

Since its founding in Taiwan in 1972, Sunrace (officially Sun Race Sturmey-Archer Inc.) began by making entry-level components and has steadily moved up-market through innovation and careful engineering. Acquiring the British brand Sturmey-Archer in 2000 broadened its reach and tech base, merging heritage with modern manufacturing in aluminium, steel and composite materials. This history means you get drivetrain parts that benefit from decades of research, well-proven design and materials that balance toughness and affordability.

Today Sunrace supplies both Original Equipment Manufacturers and the aftermarket. Every cassette, freewheel and derailleur reflects its legacy in component design. For you riding today, that means dependable shifting, long tooth life and gearing that works whether you ride dirt tracks or sealed roads.

Why Ride Sunrace?

  • Broad compatibility and range options. Sunrace offers many cassette tooth-counts including wide ranges like 11-50, 11-51 and 10-42, so you can match your gearing to the climbs with minimal extra weight or cost. These wide-range cassettes work well with standard hub bodies and mid or long-cage derailleurs.
  • U-Series for durability and smoother shifting. Their U-Series drivetrain parts are built to resist wear, reduce maintenance, and improve shifting performance, especially useful if you ride often or in wet or dusty conditions. Shaped sprockets in this series help the chain stay better in line.
  • Accessible prices without sacrificing function. Many Sunrace components are steel or steel/composite blends with reliable materials, engineered polymers, steel cages, alloy bodies, giving parts that last without costing like premium brands do.
  • 24-month warranty and eco efforts included. Sunrace gives two years guarantee on most parts from purchase. Their sustainability includes solar-powered offices and production improvements that aim to lower environmental impact.

Popular Sunrace Ranges Explained

Sunrace Cassettes/Freewheels

Sunrace cassettes and freewheels cover a lot of ground, they equip 7 to 12 speed bikes with multiple gear-ranges often spanning 400-plus percent in total ratio. Want steeper climbs or faster flats? They offer big sprockets (like 50 or 51-tooth) without needing an exotic hub or derailleur. Steel and alloy build keeps weight reasonable and durability solid.

Sunrace Drivetrain Other

Drivetrain Other includes everything that makes your gears shift smoothly, chains, shift-cables, chainrings and other bits. These parts may be less glamorous, but worn or mismatched parts here can ruin a drivetrain. Sunrace supplies well-matched replacements so you keep precise shifting and avoid extra wear.

Sunrace Derailleurs

Sunrace derailleurs offer a range of types, from front derailleurs for triple cranksets to rear derailleurs handling big sprockets. Models include long and medium cages, direct-mount hanger options and designs made from steel, alloy and composite materials. If you want wide gear range or light weight, there’s a derailleur built for it.
