Oxford at 99 Bikes

Oxford makes gear that gets you on your bike more often, keeps your ride hassle-free, and protects your bike against the elements without fuss. This is kit born from five decades of making two-wheeled life a bit better — tough materials, honest design, and value you’ll notice every ride.

The Oxford Story

Oxford Products was established in 1973 by Alec Hammond in the United Kingdom, originally designing fibreglass boxes and fairings for motorcycles. Over time Oxford expanded into the cycling world, adapting its security, luggage, clothing and accessory lines to suit push-bike riders everywhere. Its research and development centre in Witney houses full laboratories, 3D printing, computer aided design and testing facilities, ensuring products are engineered not just for test labs but for wet rides, bumpy roads and everyday use.

Every Oxford product you see today reflects that history. You benefit from innovations originally designed for racing or endurance, now built into things like bike covers, kickstands and kids’ accessories made tough, reliable and accessible for all cycling conditions.

Why Ride Oxford?

  • Built from bike-centric origins: Oxford’s product range evolved from motorcycling gear and technical fairings into cycle-friendly solutions tested on road, rack and trail.
  • Rigorous durability testing: All-weather materials, lab-grade weather and U V testing, and strong design standards mean gear made for real life, not just ideal conditions.
  • In-house innovation: CAD, prototype builds and strength testing are handled at home so designs stay focused on what riders need, like strong fittings, secure fastenings and dependable finishes.
  • Global reach, local relevance: Designing in the UK but selling world-wide means Oxford learns from many climates and terrains — you get versions of gear that suit rain, sun, wind or dust, not just showroom gloss.

Popular Oxford Ranges Explained

Oxford Dirtyfoot

The Oxford Dirtyfoot rear-mount kickstand fits where the seatstay meets the chainstay. It has an adjustable leg to suit 26- to 28-inch wheels, and a folding mechanism to get it out of the way when riding.

Oxford Aquatex

Oxford Aquatex bike covers wrap your bike against rain, dust and UV using weatherproof poly-acrylic coatings, strong fabrics and features like elastic hems or compression straps. Great for daytime storms or long term bike storage outdoors.

Oxford Bike Cover

This Oxford Bike Cover provides secure protection even for triple-bike racks. Tough 300-denier fabric, zip access and straps reduce wind flap. Includes a storage bag so you can stow it compactly when not needed.

Oxford Basket

The Oxford Basket is a woven plastic handlebar basket that’s lightweight, holds daily essentials like snacks or toys, and comes with handlebar straps. The medium size (approx 240 × 150 × 160 mm) adds personality without bulk.
