The KS Story

Founded by Martin Hsu in southern Taiwan in the late 1990s, KS (short for Kind Shock) began life as part of Yen Yue Manufacturing making bicycle components like forks and stems. In 1998, Hsu turned inspiration from an office chair into the first modern dropper seat post prototype.

By 1999 KS released its first dropper post to market. Since then KS has driven forward innovation—building top-quality dropper, suspension and seat post systems, expanding material options, routing styles and drop lengths. That legacy still benefits riders today with reliable post-travel, excellent adjustment and component match for every bike style and budget.

Why Ride KS?

  • Pioneers of the dropper KS invented the dropper post in 1999, giving riders the ability to adjust saddle height while riding, which improves control on trails and steep descents.
  • Superior materials and precision KS uses high-grade aluminium and hydraulic or air-sprung cartridges in its designs to ensure smooth action, minimal play and long life.
  • Range of actuation styles You get cable actuation (both internal and external), mechanical remotes or wireless options so you can pick what suits your bike frame and riding style.
  • Real-world durability Every KS post is tested in-factory for weight, return speed and ride tolerances, so your gear withstands rain, rocks and riding every week.

Popular KS Ranges Explained

LEV Integra

The LEV Integra dropper seat post gives smooth, adjustable travel with internal cable routing that keeps your cockpit tidy. Using lighter materials without giving up reliability, it delivers dependable performance from entry-mid range riders up to those pushing trail features hard.

Rage-iS

The Rage-iS combines dropper capability with adjustable air suspension. You can tune spring pressure using the Schrader valve under the clamp so rides stay comfortable over rough terrain yet responsive on climbs or fast sections.
