Shop Knog

Quirk meets visibility in every Knog product. These design-led accessories combine loud safety warnings and brilliant visibility with sleek, minimalist aesthetics you’d be proud to ride with.

Knog lights, bells and locks are quirky in appearance, serious in function—there’s no need to sacrifice style for safety.

The Knog Story

Founded in 2002 in Melbourne by industrial designer Hugo Davidson and mechanical engineer Mal McKechnie, Knog set out to rethink cycling accessories with a bold eye for design and uncompromised safety. Their early work included the world’s first silicone bike light, the Frog, which immediately set Knog apart by merging playful design with everyday utility.

They kept pushing: in 2016 Knog reinvented a 4,000-year-old bell design with the Oi, crafting a wrap-around low-profile bell that fits neatly on handlebars without compromise. What began as two friends innovating has become a team combining design, engineering and real insight into what riders need. That legacy shows in every product—so you ride today with accessories engineered for safety, visibility and enjoyment.

Why Ride Knog?

  • Design-first philosophy comes from industrial design roots in Melbourne, ensuring accessories look sharp and function well. Attributes like low-profile bells or stylish wrap-around shapes improve form and meet safety standards.
  • Advanced visibility tech includes Chip-On-Board LEDs that maintain brightness for most of your ride, strong waterproof ratings (often IP67), multiple light modes, and imaginative flash patterns that grab attention.
  • Smart safety in security is baked in with products like Scout offering motion-sensitive alarms, Apple Find My tracking, loud 85 decibel alerts, tamper-proof mounts and long battery life.
  • Bells rethought with signature wrap-around design, spring-powered striking, and crisp tones that balance volume and clarity while keeping a sleek profile close to the handlebars.
