Chappelli Cycles was founded in 2009 by industrial designer Pablo Chappelli and entrepreneur Tom Davies. Inspired by the classic Italian bicycles of the 1950s and 1960s, they set out to design beautiful but practical urban bicycles that turned heads without costing the earth. The first Chappelli models were fixed-gear bikes suited to city streets, but over time they expanded to include three and five-speed hub bikes and bicycles with their NuVinci continuously variable transmission that won a Design Award.
