Power up playtimes with Apollo Kids 20 inch Geared bikes designed for young riders ready to ride further, climb steeper, and master every hill. The Apollo Kids 20 inch Geared range gives you gearing that makes sense, with alloy frames that feel light and tyres that grip like they should. The result is confidence-building performance without asking for pro-level pedals or price tags.

The Apollo Story

Founded in 1978, Apollo is a proudly Australian designed and owned bicycle brand. Decades of crafting bikes for Australia’s unique landscapes have taught careful lessons about durability, value, and ride quality. That know-how shows up today in every weld, tube shape and component choice.

The same heritage that once supported Australia’s top road riders now supports your child’s first climbs, confident coast-downs and weekend fun. Apollo’s long history means you get bikes that are designed for real Australian yards, paths and parks, not just picture-perfect trails in fairy lights.

Why Ride Apollo?

  • Australian design and heritage. Apollo has been designing bicycles here for over forty years, which means its geometry, materials and build quality are calibrated for local roads, heat, coastlines and scrubland.
  • Long-standing warranty and service. Every Apollo, including Neo and Radius lines, includes a frame or fork warranty against weld failures when assembled by an authorised dealer, so you’re covered even when your young one tests the limits.
  • Lightweight alloy frames for confidence and control. Bikes in the geared kids ranges use low standover alloy frames so smaller riders can mount, dismount and steer without struggle.
  • Reliable components in every build. Gearing is often via Shimano systems, tyre widths chosen for grip and stability, and finishings like Youth-specific saddles and grips to make riding smoother and safer.

Apollo Kids - 20inch Geared

The Apollo Kids 20 inch Geared bikes are engineered for children roughly 5-8 years old, with heights 114-132 centimetres. Each bike includes a geared rear derailleur with multiple speeds so climbs aren’t a struggle. The lightweight alloy frame keeps weight down so kids can handle the bike with more ease. Fitted with 20 inch multi-terrain tyres, linear-pull or coaster support brakes and a youth-appropriate saddle, these bikes offer dependable performance on paths, parks and easy off-road trails.
